The JAMB Board published a list containing all JAMB-accredited centres in the 36 states of Nigeria. This page contains the names of JAMB CBT-accredited centres in Abia State.
The JAMB-accredited centres are where candidates can commence their registration, submit their O-level results, biometric capture, profile corrections, and where candidates will sit for the 2027 JAMB CBT examination.
The JAMB management was intelligent to spread JAMB CBT-accredited centres around major locations, including Aba, Umuahia, Umudike, Isiala-Ngwa, Obingwa, and Owerrinta, giving candidates across the state, accredited CBT registration Centres that are close to them. These centres are in the North, South, East, and West of Abia State.
This page contains the updated 2027 list of approved JAMB CBT centres in Abia State, and it is now left for you to choose the one near you, so you can commence your 2027 JAMB registration.
Take note that for the 2027 JAMB registration, candidates in Abia State who use unapproved centres put their entire JAMB registration at risk, endeavour to use only the Centres mentioned here or verify directly on the official JAMB website.
What is the Difference Between JAMB CBT Centres and JAMB Office?
It is also worth noting that CBT centres and JAMB offices serve different purposes, but all under the umbrella of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.
If you are having any issue that goes beyond UTME registration or sitting for the JAMB examination, such as profile corrections, result issues, or complaints, then you should probably visit a JAMB office rather than a CBT centre.
The CBT centres in Abia State are authorised to handle UTME registration, biometric capture, and conduct the computer-based examination.
These are the things CBT centres are not authorized to carry out. They are not equipped to resolve JAMB profile errors, correct name and date of birth discrepancies, or handle formal complaints. Only JAMB Accredited Offices are authorized and approved to effect these changes.
How to Choose a JAMB Centre in Abia State
There are numerous advantage that comes with choosing the right JAMB centre. Your first consideration when choosing a JAMB Centre should be how close it is to your residential area. Let your priority be propinquity.
You should ensure that you pick a centre close to you, automatically reducing the risk of going late, paying huge transport fare, and, most importantly, reduce the risk of arriving late on your exam day.
Also note that most JAMB CBT Centres in towns such as Aba and Umuahia tend to fill up quickly during the registration period, because of the high number of candidates who want to register there. We strongly advise that you register as early as possible once the JAMB portal opens.
I recommend that you commence registration as soon as possible, especially during the first or second week when JAMB 2027 registration starts. Do not wait till the deadline, because the probability of being assigned to a centre far from your preferred location is almost 90%.
