When will JAMB 2027 Registration Starts FAQs

When does JAMB registration start?

The 2027 JAMB registration form for UTME and Direct Entry (DE) registration will officially be available to all candidates on the 19th January 2027.

How long does JAMB registration last?

The UTME registration period runs for approximately five weeks. This means that since it’s starting on 19 January 2027, it will end before the 28th of February 2027. Late registration may be allowed with additional fees if JAMB extends the deadline. I recommend you register when the portal opens, do not wait for JAMB to extend the registration date.

Can I register for JAMB without NIN?

No. The JAMB board, in agreement with the Ministry of Education, has made it mandatory that all 2027 UTME candidates must have the National Identification Number (NIN) before they can register for JAMB. You must obtain your NIN from NIMC before you can create a JAMB profile or register for the examination.

What happens if I miss the registration deadline?

Candidates who missed the timeframe given for the 2027 JAMB registration may be lucky if JAMB postpones the registration date. Late registration typically attracts additional fees, and your examination centre may be far from your location. This is why I always recommend that candidates register early to avoid technical issues or deadline pressure.
