Quick answer: To quickly check your JAMB 2026 UTME result, kindly send UTMERESULT by SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number you provided during your JAMB registration. To get your official JAMB original result slip, log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng and choose Print Result Slip. Take note that you’ll be charged ₦1,000 plus a ₦100 printing charge, paid only on that portal before you can print out the Original JAMB result slip.
FabGist.com.ng is an educational website that provides ONLY Information and guidelines. We do not take payment or ask for payment. We still cannot check, print, or change a JAMB result for you.

However, if you paid someone for a “JAMB result reprint” by bank transfer, WhatsApp, or a link that does not end in jamb.gov.ng, you have sadly been scammed. They’ve taken your money and printed out a fake slip for you.
How to Check JAMB 2026 Result Online
STEP 1: Go to the official JAMB Portal
Visit the JAMB e-facility portal (which is portal.jamb.gov.ng or efacility.jamb.gov.ng). Always avoid any link on social media that links to suspicious websites.
STEP 2: Log in.
When the portal loads, proceed and use the email address and password to log in to your UTME Dashboard.
STEP 3: Open Your Profile/Dashboard
When you’ve successfully logged in, proceed and click on “CHECK Result,” and your 2026 UTME result should appear directly on your personal dashboard. However, if the JAMB result has not yet been released, the page will simply show Not Available.
STEP 4: Save it
You can screenshot the page or write down your JAMB score. But it is not something deep, because the school will always be there for you to check it anytime. Do not pay to print the original JAMB Result, unless you have been offered admission by the university.
Check your 2026 JAMB result by SMS
STEP 1: For this method to work, you must use the phone number you used during your UTME registration. It must be the Phone Number JAMB has on file for you.
STEP 2: To check your JAMB score via SMS, simply text UTMERESULT to 55019 (If 55019 did not work, you can try 66019 as an alternative shortcode. However, you should try 55019 first).
STEP 3: After you have sent the message, you will receive your JAMB Performance by SMS within seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on how busy it is.
STEP 4: However, if you have forgotten your JAMB Registration Number, you can retrieve your JAMB Registration Number directly from the JAMB portal. Simply text RETRIEVE to 55019. Make sure you have between ₦100 and ₦200 on your SIM card before using this service.
How Much is Checking JAMB Result via SMS?
I sincerely believed that checking JAMB results via SMS would have been 100% Free. But candidates would certainly abuse it, making it difficult for other candidates to check their own results via the same channel.
To reduce the number of candidates using the SMS method, JAMB has to peg a price on it. JAMB does not offer a free SMS result check. As of 2026, to check your score via SMS, you will be charged ₦100 from your airtime balance.
However, if you were to print out your Original JAMB Result Slip, you will be charged ₦1,500. Always confirm current charges before using the SMS method, because the JAMB Board usually adjusts pricing and portal names from year to year. Previously, when this method was introduced, candidates were charged ₦50 to check their scores via SMS.
How to Check JAMB 2026 Admission Status
After checking your results either from the JAMB.gov.ng portal or SMS method, you should also monitor your admission status. Here is where you can check if you have been offered admission by Universities, Polytechnics, and colleges of Education:

- Click on “Check Admission Status” and follow the instructions.
- You can choose to either Accept or Reject the admission offer once your school grants you admission.

What Does Your JAMB Score Actually Mean?
Your score is the first thing schools look at before offering you admission. Here is the general picture:
- 180 and above: You meet the basic JAMB minimum to apply to a university. But this is just the floor, not a guarantee that you will be offered admission by the University, especially to your course, depending on how many candidates are applying for that course.
- 200 to 249: Good enough for many state universities and a range of federal university courses. Any candidate who scored between this number, you have a high chance of getting admitted.
- 250 to 299: Most Universities, both state and federal universities, consider this score competitive for most courses. Federal universities like LASU, UNILAG, UI, and similar schools will give you admission to any course of your choice.
- 300 and above: Strong and the Best. You are in contention for competitive courses like Medicine, Law, and Engineering at any top tertiary institution of your choice. Your name is likely to even appear in the Top List of JAMB Highest Scores this year.
Common Mistakes that Stop You from Seeing Your JAMB Result
Most “my result isn’t showing” complaints boil down to a handful of simple challenges that can be resolved without going to the JAMB office:
The first possibility is that you are sending the SMS from a phone number that is not linked to your UTME registration. Ensure you are using the phone number you provided during your JAMB UTME registration.
Secondly, if you’re checking your result via the JAMB result checking portal, maybe you provided the wrong registration number when checking online, or even logged into the wrong JAMB portal (always double-check the domain). It is always JAMB.gov.ng and no one else.
